Philosoma is a unique game amongst shoot-em-ups. It manages to encompass all the tried and tested styles of the genre and mixes them together to create an awesome combination of challenge and visual flair - 2D, 3D, top-down, side-on, vertical scrolling, from behind . . . any which way. There are 5 stages to battle through with 3 levels in each - and all to defend Earth from a merciless alien foe. Completely outnumbered and outgunned only the fastest and bravest will pass the test. The gameplay was tweaked for this European release to make it even tougher, and the stages are linked by rendered sequences merging FMV and some incredible animations to stunning effect.
