Description:
Breakneck is a full-contact pursuit game, which combines the
strategy of a game of chase with the full-on fighting and
characters of Mortal Kombat and Tekken.
In the distant future, when all distinct cultures and
individuality have been banned by the government, a group of
rebellious punks fights to preserve what is left of their
uniquely mixed cultural identity and style. The band of outcasts
have rediscovered an ancient ritual combat, which takes them to
distant places, battling amongst themselves in a series of
abandoned arenas, in order to find their champion of champions.
You must overcome obstacles such as moving platforms, water,
sinking blocks, steam jets and teleporters, all the while taking
on some of most skilled and ruthless opponents. Blood Lines
boasts over 100 special effects, with 3 difficulty levels:
Bronze Medal, Silver Medal and Gold Medal. Each level has its
own set of unique arenas with increasingly difficult layouts.
The enemy characters are progressively challenging and the pace
gets more and more hectic.
Breakneck was being developed for release in the US, however
Midway Entertainment abandoned the game at the eleventh hour. Sony Computer
Entertainment of Europe decided to publish it in Europe as
"Bloodlines." |
